attitude of gratitude

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.
It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance,
chaos into order,
confusion into clarity....
It turns problems into gifts,
failures into success,
the unexpected into perfect timing,
and mistakes into important events.
Gratitude makes sense of our past,
brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.

messages from the Great Spirit

In life...
many thoughts are born in the course of a moment,
an hour, a day.
Some are dreams, some visions.
Often, we are unable to distinguish between them.
To some, they are the same.
However, not all dreams are visions.
Much energy is lost in fanciful dreams that never bear fruit.
But visions are messages from the Great Spirit,
each for a different purpose in life.
Consequently, one person's vision may not be that of another.
To have a vision, one must be prepared to receive it...
and when it comes, to accept it.
Thus when these inner urges become reality,
only then can visions be fulfilled.
The spiritual side of life knows
everyone's heart and who to trust.
How could a vision ever be given to someone to harbor
if that person could not be trusted to carry it out.
The message is simple: commitment precedes vision.

Change Yourself

No one is in control of your happiness but you
so, you have the power to change anything
about yourself or your life that you want to change.

Feelings are messengers

Feelings like...
disappointment, embarrassment,
irritation, resentment,
anger, jealousy, and fear,
instead of being bad news...
are actually very clear moments...that teach us,
where it is that we're holding back.
They teach us to perk up and lean in
when we feel we'd rather collapse and back away.
They're like messengers that show us,
with terrifying clarity, exactly where we're stuck.
This very moment is the perfect teacher,
and, lucky for us, it's with us wherever we are!

we are unique

We all know we are unique,
individuals...,
but we tend to see others
as representatives of groups.
